Julie Baka

Julie is a co-owner of BestDryingRack. She is also active in her community both professionally and as a volunteer. Julie and her husband Greg have raised two kids to adulthood and practiced a variety of healthy and energy efficient living methods.
Introduction
Julie Baka grew up assisting her mom and grandmother as they did laundry with an old-fashioned wringer washer and a clothesline on their family dairy farm in Indiana.
Julie has recently become the Food Coop Coordinator for the Missouri Rural Crisis Center and Patchworks Family Farms, providing food aid to over 250 families in small communities across central Missouri.
In past years, she was on the board of the Columbia MO Library District for 7 years. She also became the Director of Development for KOPN Community Radio shortly after moving to Columbia MO.
Julie and here family have a strong interest in learning and practicing the skills of decreasing home energy usage. She was also active in assisting with the creation of a neighborhood association to help her neighborhood become safer and more socially connected.
Accomplishments
Julie has a AS in Drafting and Design Technology from Purdue University and a BA in General Studies from Indiana University.
